I intend to recognise these people through my Local Heroes page so that all residents of the South West can read about the lives of others in the region.

Relay for Life Team – Bulldogs – Team Capitan – Kerry Radford

Bulldogs, a Relay For Life Team with Kerry Radford as our team captain was formed in 2004. After the death of Kerry’s partner, Peter Betti to cancer it was decided to get a team organized in memory of Peter, to enter in a Bunbury based cancer fund raising event-Relay For Life.. After some phone calls between family, we had 15 people on board. The team consisted of family-Peter’s 4 daughters, his 2 sisters and 1 brother, Kerry, Kerry’s 3 sisters and a sister in law and 3 of his grandchildren

Calvin was born in Harvey 1979, and was a happy outgoing kid, that was into his sports, football, fire brigade, hockey, basketball through his primary and highschool years.He successfully completed his trade as a fitter and turner 10 years ago and with his skills set off on a journey around Australia with no plans or time limit in mind, to see what opportunities may come his way.

In early February 2000, two teachers at Margaret River Primary School, Mark Harrison and I, approached local wineries to request donation of a computer to assist the school's compliance with the Education Department's new student: computer ratios.

Mary Truman is the grandmother of a past student at Cornerstone Christian College, but despite the fact that she no longer has family members at the school, dedicates time each week to invest in the education of a new generation.

A year ago, life was normal. My son was four years old and a happy, healthy looking, child. He was super active, always on the go. He had a wonderful sense of fun and made friends easily. He was slim, but he had just experienced a growth spurt. Should I have noticed then?
